Charting Analysis with Organizational Hierarchy

Using Metolius Enterprise you can review survey response data by your company's management structure, helping you achieve a more comprehensive analysis.

The payoff for uploading participants along with their organizational hierarchy is found in charting and analysis. This structure allows you to view an entire downline of employees under a manager, or just their direct reports. These views help to analyze participant responses by manager.

If you are not yet familiar with charting, review this article first. 

1) When setting up your chart (Analytics menu > Assessment Charting menu item), choose Manager from the Compare By dropdown menu, then click View in the bottom right.

2) Once in charting, you can choose a manager from the Manager field. In this example, we have chosen Sarah Brown. By selecting the radio button for Direct, results for her six direct reports are displayed in the chart. Alternatively, selecting the radio button for All, results for her entire fifteen employee downline to be visible instead (see inset). 

In this example, we are viewing the intention level of the survey. There are seven intentions and six of them have been made invisible by clicking on the legend leaving only Equal Opportunity visible in the chart. Given that there is a twenty point difference between some of Sarah's direct reports, the next right move is to look at the responses to the questions within that intention to learn why the scores differ so greatly.

3) Despite adjusting the chart to only display one intention, data for all seven intentions are visible in the crosstab below the chart. 

4) By clicking on the View Organization Structure button, a dialog box will pop up to show the entire organizational hierarchy.
