Publishing an assessment prepares it for assignment and scheduling. Once published, edits are locked, and fixing any errors requires survey duplication and republishing of the assessment.
Publishing an assessment is the first step to getting it ready for its participants after it has been built out.
Once you are done building your assessment, publish it from its assessment attributes page.
1) Assessment attributes can be accessed from the Review & Edit page under the Assessment Management menu on the main navigation bar.

The option to schedule an assessment is available on the Professional and Enterprise plans ONLY.
Once published, assessments are locked for editing. Do note that an assessment must be published before it can be assigned or scheduled. If you find an error in your assessment after publishing, you can simply duplicate the assessment with the Create from Existing option, make changes to the copy, then publish the corrected version and delete the incorrect version.
You may receive a warning dialog box that mentions certain items that need to be completed before publishing can occur. Complete those items then return to the attributes page to publish.
